Every year, the majestic herds of wildebeest embark on a breathtaking migration, perfectly timed with the annual rainfall and grass growth patterns. As the short rains begin in November, the wildebeest make their way to the nutrient-rich short-grass plains of the Serengeti, settling in areas east and south of Seronera, around Ndutu and the northern Ngorongoro Conservation area. During this time, you’ll witness vast herds of wildebeest and zebra grazing on these lush plains. February is extraordinary as it marks the calving season, with thousands of wildebeest calves dotting the landscape. The herds typically remain in the area until April before they start their journey westward towards the Western Corridor of the Serengeti National Park.

The itinerary includes the Lake Ndutu area, southern Serengeti, and central Serengeti National Park, where the migration is most prominent from December to April. To enhance your experience and minimize travel time, you’ll fly from Serengeti National Park to Arusha on the final day. Additionally, this adventure includes a visit to the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater.
