Experience the magic of a hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti Plains. Float silently above the waking bush, spotting wildlife and soaking in the breathtaking African scenery. This unique adventure is available at an additional cost and must be arranged in advance.
After breakfast, we embark on a full-day game drive along the Sogore River Circuit, which loops into the plains south of the Seronera River. Keep your eyes peeled for lions, Thomson gazelles, topis, ostriches, and cheetahs. Following our morning drive, we’ll visit the Serengeti Visitor Centre, near the Seronera Lodge and public campsites. The centre offers fascinating wildlife displays, a gift shop with maps and information leaflets, a snack shop, a picnic area, and a trail around a nearby kopje.
We’ll enjoy a relaxed picnic lunch in the shade of giant acacia trees before heading out in the afternoon to explore the Kopjes Circuit. This route circles the Maasai Kopjes, known for attracting lions and large cobras. These weathered granite outcrops provide shade and water, making them excellent spots for wildlife viewing, especially during the dry seasons when animals come to drink.
